The place looks nice. Food? Some are OK, some are not. It is well presented to be fair. It’s pricey for what you are getting. The service was not good either. We asked the server about the food/drinks and she just said “Oh I don’t Know”. Two of the waiters we asked doesn’t seem to know what they’re serving and not knowing what they are doing. Honestly it’s not what I expected. All in all not the best experience.

Quite a nice fine dining restaurant residing in an old building with a lot of character. The food has been consistently good and the service up to a high standard. We also had our end of the year function here and it was arranged really well with an American food theme with all the staff in costumes and the food was very cleverly prepared.

We enjoyed our meal at Gip's. The service was great, as was the ambience (even with a function on). My duck was beautifully cooked. The beer selection was adequate. Desserts were nice. Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful food in gorgeous grounds and the service was lovely. The only thing that lets this restaurant down is the decor. Plastic chairs and tables without table cloths really disappoint for a venue in the price bracket. I would love to see this change.

What a beautiful space! The food was beyond amazing, one of the best meals I've ever experienced. Well done to the chef's and front of house staff, your service was wonderful and efficient.

Gip's did not jip on service or quality! We had an amazing meal of Moreton Bay Bug Ravioli and Pan Seared Salmon. The ravioli was moist and plump and sat in a rich buttery sauce with grilled prawns on the side. The salmon was just perfect, I don't think I've had one so crispy yet moist. The perfect balance. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Sitting outside was pleasant and quiet.

My wedding was here in late February. It was the weekend it flooded.. even though we had booked a garden wedding, Cath (coordinator) was amazing at pulling off an indoor wedding. Not only was it so intimate and beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing. The amount of compliments that were given from guests just shows how capable the Gip’s staff are at turning things around in an emergent case. Thank you again for helping me have such a beautiful wedding. To the several sit downs with Cath prior to the wedding to calm my nerves to ensure I had the most amazing day I could dream of.
